Recommended books – 2023

2023 was a year of diverse literary exploration for me, ranging from the shadowy corridors of espionage to the forefront of medical technology and the psychological depth of sports. I enjoyed Mick Herron’s “Slough House” series, a masterclass in spy fiction full of suspense and intricate plotting. Jackson Lamb is a fascinating character full of unexpected angles.

On a different note, “The AI Revolution in Medicine” was a revelation, unveiling the incredible impact of artificial intelligence in reshaping modern healthcare. One of the topics covered in the book is how Large Language Models could assist Health Care practitioners in documenting medical attention, reducing the burden of paperwork time that otherwise may be devoted to more humane clinical attention.

Completing this trio, “The Inner Game of Tennis” delved into tennis’s mental fortitude and psychological nuances, offering invaluable lessons transcending sports. I have read “The Inner Game” several times, and it is always teaching me some new life lessons. These reads didn’t just entertain; they broadened my perspectives on writing, AI in medicine, and the mental game in sports.
